Competitive cornhole is back at the Club level. Play at your local Club, take on players across your District, and earn your shot at the State Championship.

HOW IT WORKS: CLUB - DISTRICT - STATE

The MCA strengthens local Clubs, connects players and communities through District competition, and creates opportunities for statewide recognition. We support Club independence, player development, and fair play, and we offer a clear pathway for players of every skill level.

1. CLUB: Build. Local Clubs host qualifying events, and Club Directors keep independence in their regular operations.

2. DISTRICT: Connect. District events bring together players from neighboring Clubs and areas. Clubs are encouraged to work together on scheduling and hosting.

3. STATE: Compete. One State Championship ends the season. It gives qualified STATE members a chance at statewide recognition.

Michigan Cornhole Association competition structure: local clubs build through qualifying events, districts connect neighboring players, and qualified state members compete in a season-ending State Championship.

The Season at a glance

The 2027 regular season runs January 4 to June 6. Your best 23 Club results and best 5 District finishes count toward the season standings. You can play in more events than that, and only your top results are counted. The State Championship is set for mid-to-late June 2027, with exact dates to be announced.

Your starting tier is based on your 120-day PPR (points per round), so you compete against players at a similar skill level. Each tier has its own District and State points table, so players are rewarded for how they perform at their own level. Your tier is set before the event and doesn’t change automatically. Preliminary rounders can’t move you down. If you want a bigger challenge, you can play up into a higher tier. Sandbagging is prohibited, so everyone competes at their true skill level.
