Directors
Lead your Club, Connect your District. Build the Pathway to state
Club First Leadership
MCA exists to support and connect its Clubs, not to run them. Local Clubs are the foundation of MCA competition. As a Director, you keep independence over routine Club operations while taking part in shared statewide standards.
You keep control of:
- Local Schedule and venues
- Entry fees
- Announced Payouts
- Eligible Event Formats
The MCA Standardizes:
- Qualifying Competiton and Minimum Fields
- Membership
- Point and Player Classification
- State Qualification
Your role at a glance
Build | Connect | Compete
BUILD: Host regular Club competition and grow a welcoming local player community.
CONNECT: Work with neighboring Clubs on District Singles, BYOP, and Blind Draw events. Hosting can rotate, and equipment, volunteers, and promotion can be shared, so no single Director carries the whole load.
COMPETE: Give your players consistent points, standings, and a clear path to State recognition.
The Season at a Glance
The 2027 regular season runs January 4 to June 6. Your best 23 Club results and best 5 District finishes count toward the season standings. You can play in more events than that, and only your top results are counted. The State Championship is set for mid-to-late June 2027, with exact dates to be announced.
Directors, every player starts in a tier based on their 120-day PPR, so they compete against others at a similar skill level. Each tier has its own District and State points table.
Tiers are set before the event. They don’t change automatically. Players stay in their assigned tier until the mid-season review.
Rounders are for seeding only. They can’t promote, relegate, or reclassify a player.
Players may play up, but never down. Playing up earns points from the higher tier’s table and doesn’t change the player’s classification.
MCA’s anti-sandbagging standards always apply. Please confirm each player’s tier before play, apply these rules consistently, and report final placements accurately. Bring any glaring classification concerns to the Player Director
